Nestled in a haven of greenery and tranquility, in Saint-Jacques-des-Blats, the epicenter of many outdoor activities, this little paradise offers a magnificent view of the famous “Plomb du Cantal” and “Puy Griou”.

The hotel is ideally located on the route of Saint Jacques de Compostelle, close to the “GR 400” and not far from the “Grand Site du Puy Mary“.

In summer and winter, you will also appreciate the proximity of « Le Lioran » (6 minutes by car), the largest ski area in the « Massif Central » , where many activities are available :(Alpine skiing, snowshoeing, ski touring, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ice skating, snowmobiling, trail riding, paragliding, climbing, canyoning, via ferratta, etc…) L’Escoundillou is also the starting point for numerous hikes, trail circuits, mountain biking, but also road cycling with legendary passes, taken by our national cyclist, Romain Bardet (« Col du Pas de Peyrols », « Col du Pertus », « Col de Prat de Bouc »…)  Marc and Élodie, very attached to their territory, are impatient to share with you their passion for this preserved mountain. Depending on the season and their availability, they practice trail running, mountain biking, skiing, but also contemplative walks… With Marc, an experienced ultra-trailer (finisher of the UTMB, Diagonale des fous, UTPMA among others), you will have all the advice you need on hiking, trail, cycling, weather and logistics to make the most of your excursions. Élodie, your hostess, will do her utmost to make your stay as comfortable and convivial as possible with her little bit of « Cantalou » accent.
